The 6Gs DXpedition team will be operating from Christmas Island (VK9X) in October 2018. Arriving on the island  late on Tuesday 16th October (local time), we hope to be operational by the evening of Wednesday 17th (1400z). Station tear-down will start on Monday 29th October, but we hope to keep LF stations on the air until the morning of 30th October (0100z).

The team is a little smaller this year with five operators. We welcome new member Tony (G2NF). The other four operators are Nigel (G3TXF), Chris (G3SVL), David (G3WGN) and Mike (G3WPH). Four of the team members operated together in 2011 from the other Christmas Island (T32) as part of the FSDXA T32C DXpedition.

A DXpedition like this requires expertise and help of many kinds.  We’d like to thank the following for their assistance with getting VK9XG on the air: 6Gs members Don G3XTT Don G3BJ and Justin G4TSH. Also Doug VK9JG, Bob N6TV and Steve VK6VZ.
