ZL7G operating plans

ZL7G was well placed for a sea take-off in most important directions. Although our antennas were not at the water’s edge, we modeled them and selected antennas which would work well on high land at the coast.

We will operated to the DXpeditioner’s code of conduct

We had three or four stations operational at all times, but particularly sought contacts with Europe when the band openings allowed. Please see our propagation page.

We made a special effort on the LF bands, even ‘though this affected our QSO totals for the expedition. In particular we ensured we were available for grey line openings as they occurred.
